The Quay Community Centre was officially opened in December 2013 by Cllr Michael McLaughlin. It is located at the Quay, behind Springfield estates. It is a 7 minute walk from the Quay National School on the Greenway and a 10 minute walk to the centre of town (the Octagon). This facility serves the Quay and the wider Westport area.
There is a range of classes and services available including the Octagon Quilters, Junior Comhaltas, Westport Men’s Shed, Yoga and Westport Community Youth Initiative (Mac Luí).
There is also a number of community led activities for everyone, these include bingo, social dancing, social card playing, chess and crafts (see the timetable for further details).
The Quay Community Centre is a spacious, bright and airy facility and boasts 3 spaciously sized rooms available for rental. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and the main function hall has an adjoining kitchen area.
We have free parking behind the building and an open foyer for visitors to come and relax in.
